As an Amazon Associate, Suds Run earns from qualifying purchases.
Read these before you apply. Checking the agreement box on the application means you accept the Independent Contractor Agreement below.
Between Suds Run ("Company") and the undersigned driver ("Contractor").
1. Independent contractor relationship. Contractor is an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of the Company. Contractor controls the manner and means of the work, sets their own schedule, and may work for others.
2. Services. Mobile hand car washes and, when selected by the customer, interior cleaning at customer locations, for bookings Contractor accepts through the Suds Run app.
3. Compensation. $45.00 per completed wash, plus $35.00 when the customer booked the interior cleaning add-on ($80.00 total). Only completed washes approved by the Company are payable. A signed IRS Form W-9 is required before the first payout.
4. Contractor provides all tools of the trade. Vehicle, fuel, water, equipment, supplies, and phone. Contractor maintains a valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and auto insurance, and provides proof on request.
5. Background check. Contractor consents to a Checkr background check, pays the approximately $30 screening fee, and must clear it before the first job. Checkr’s hosted candidate steps are completed on the contractor’s phone after the Suds Run roster profile is created.
6. Availability and no-shows. Contractor accepts only time windows they can complete. A no-show or late arrival without notice earns no pay for that wash; the customer is offered a free rescheduled wash or a full refund.
7. Work standards. Contractor follows the Suds Run Driver SOP: confirms each booking, arrives on time, does a pre-service and post-service walk-around with the customer, photographs pre-existing damage, and immediately reports any damage, incident, or dispute to the Company.
8. Professional conduct. Courteous, professional service at all times; clean appearance; no smoking on customer property; respect customer property.
9. Taxes. Contractor is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes. The Company does not withhold taxes and issues IRS Form 1099-NEC for $600 or more in a calendar year.
10. Term and termination. Begins on the date signed; either party may end it with written notice. Completed, approved washes are paid even after termination.
11. Liability. Contractor is responsible for loss, damage, or injury caused by Contractor's negligence or misconduct, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company against claims arising from Contractor's services.
12. Non-solicitation. During this agreement and for 12 months after, Contractor will not directly solicit Suds Run customers for competing mobile car wash services.
13. Governing law. The laws of the State of Maryland.
14. Entire agreement. This is the entire agreement about Contractor's driving services; changes must be in writing and signed by both parties.
Suds Run cannot pay you until we have your signed W-9 on file. Download the official IRS Form W-9 below, fill it out, and email it to nsmith007n@gmail.com with the subject line "W-9 — [Your Name]".
1. Before you roll. Confirm the booking in the app. Check supplies, water, and phone charge. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
2. Arrival. Notify the customer through the app. Introduce yourself. Walk around the vehicle WITH the customer and photograph any pre-existing damage.
3. The wash. Foam pre-soak, two-bucket hand wash top to bottom, wheels and tires, thorough rinse, blow-dry plus towels, streak-free glass, tire dressing.
4. Interior (when booked). Remove trash, vacuum every surface including crevices, wipe all surfaces, clean and condition leather, clean interior glass, finish with a courtesy air freshener.
5. Finish strong. Final walk-around with the customer. Mark the job complete in the app. Ask for a rating.
6. If something goes wrong. Stop work, photograph everything, contact the owner immediately. Never argue with a customer on site.
7. Professional standards. Clean appearance, courteous always, no smoking on customer property, leave the area as you found it.
8. Customer not there. If the customer is unreachable after 15 minutes, contact the owner for instructions — do not just leave.
